Global Music

Auralia & Musition will soon include a set of global music worksheets featuring the music of China, Turkiye, Indonesia, Ireland, Africa, South America and India. From tapping a 2:3 clave, to understanding Indian thaat (scales) and exploring traditional Turkish instruments, this is a great way to expand your curriculum and expose your students to new musical traditions.

Developed in collaboration with world music specialists Adem Merter Birson PhD (New York University Steinhardt) and Dr. Chappell Kingsland (University of Denver), these materials may be of interest to anyone looking to make their music theory courses more relevant, engaging, and inclusive.
