Tapping latency and rhythm accuracy problems

If you are having problems with topics such as Rhythm Tapping or Rhythm Imitation and latency, follow the instructions below, please ensure that you have the latest update installed first.


Versions 5, 6 and 7

  1. Open the Settings / Sounds / Input screen.
  2. Ensure that the box ‘User MIDI for tapping sounds’ is NOT checked

Version 4

  1. Open the Administration / Sounds and Pictures / Playback menu.
  2. Ensure that the box ‘Due to latency issues, use wave sound output for tapping topics’ is checked

Testing

Click on the ‘Start’ button in the Tapping Delay section and check if there is any delay occurring. Adjust the delay time as necessary so that the flashing light and the metronome sound are in sync

Now try one of the tapping topics to see if this has rectified the issue.
